Ringed Pythons are a small python averaging 3-5ft. They inhabit rainforest habitats on the Bismarck Archipelago of Papua New Guinea. They have one of the most dramatic neonate color changes of all Pythons. They hatch a bright orange/pink and black. Over time the lighter color turns a deep rick gold with incredible iridescence. As the name suggests they are typically banded but aberrant individuals occur from no pattern to blotches they can vary wildly but always keeping their black head.
I keep a small group of this spunky little python.
